This is an institution tasked with monitoring electoral processes and promoting transparency. It observes voting procedures, reports irregularities, and provides recommendations to improve the integrity of elections. ONIE also engages in voter education, raising awareness of citizens’ rights and responsibilities. Although relatively new, it contributes to the democratic process by acting as an independent observer and accountability mechanism, complementing the work of CENI and other bodies.
