CDD is one of the think tanks and civil society organization in Nigeria that is focused on democracy and good governanace. It is headquartered at Abuja with a regional presence in other West African states. Amongst other things, the focus area of CDD is election observation and monitoring and specially runs a fact-checking unit to track fake news during elections. CDD deployed trained observers nationwide during the 2023 general election to monitor election conduct and evaluate INEC’s performance.
