General Elections
General elections are scheduled to be held in Guinea-Bissau on 23 November 2025 and 30 November 2025 to elect the president and members of the National People’s Assembly
Regional and Local Election Committees (Comissões Eleitorais Regionais/Locais)
Role: Administer elections at the regional and local levels, coordinate with polling stations, manage local voter lists, and report results up the chain to the CNE.
Polling Station Officials and Electoral Clerks (local level)
Role: Implement polling procedures at the ground level, verify voter identity, issue ballots, and assist voters under the supervision of the CNE.
Public Information and Transparency Office (if established)
Role: Communicates official electoral information to the public, publishes results summaries, and handles media inquiries.
Independent Commissions or Technical Sub-Committees (as established for each electoral cycle)
Role: Expert bodies formed to address technical aspects of a given election (e.g., voter registration anomalies, ballot design, or counting procedures) under the umbrella of the CNE.
