COSCEP is a prominent coalition of several civil society organizations in Benin, dedicated to peace and electoral integrity. In the 8 January 2023 legislative election, the coalition deployed 623 observers (77 mobile and 546 fixed) across all communes, all of whom were officially accredited by CENA. COSCEP maintains a command center in Cotonou that collects data from its observers, allowing it to produce real‑time reports on opening times, election atmosphere, and challenges.
Following the election, COSCEP held a debrief with CENA, the Ministry of the Interior, and other stakeholders to present findings and recommendations.
