The highest court on electoral matters. Composed of five “wisemen” (including a President and Vice-President) appointed by presidential decree for non-renewable terms (6 years).
It certifies final results, validates or disqualifies candidacies (e.g. it banned prominent candidates in 2024), and adjudicates disputes. Its decisions are binding (e.g. it struck down Sall’s 2024 vote-delay as unconstitutional).
