Constitutional Court

They oversee the legality, transparency, and fairness of presidential and legislative elections as well as referendums. It acts as the highest authority for resolving electoral disputes and is responsible for proclaiming final, legally binding results. The Court consists of seven members selected from various professional backgrounds- lawyers, magistrates, academics, and civil-society representatives- and members serve six-year terms, renewed in thirds every two years. Its constitutional authority ensures that electoral processes comply with Niger’s legal framework.
